Through perseverance and dedication, Dr. Blair White has achieved the highest levels of success, both on and off the playing field. White arrived in East Lansing in 2005 as a walk-on wide receiver for the Spartan football team, but his work ethic earned him a scholarship prior to the 2008 season and he earned the Biggie Munn Award that same year as the team’s most inspirational player. As a senior in 2009, he was voted a captain by his teammates and blossomed into a first-team All-Big Ten selection while earning first-team Academic All-America honors for his 3.89 grade-point average as a human biology major. He was named MSU’s recipient for the Big Ten Conference Medal of Honor in 2009-10, considered the highest individual accolade from the conference, for his outstanding athletic and academic achievement. Following graduation, White played two seasons in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts before returning to school to earn his doctorate of dental surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He also has a certificate in orthodontics and received a master’s degree in dentistry from the University of Louisville in 2018. White now runs his own private orthodontic practice in his hometown of Saginaw, Michigan, and strives to create opportunities, initiatives and outreach programs for his community.
